Maybe not…but 5 hours of sleep may be enough for some, but not for me! I’m balancing my life between my Wee Wonderful Heavenly Book called my Bible, this blog, baking, taking orders, driving lessons and work.

Eyes are so beautiful. I love eyes. Most expressive (and potentially unexpressive) part of you.

WORK. Now work is good, incredibly good at making you feel useful, but also very tiring. See, I used to bum around at home during the holidays. Nothing’s really changed. Now I just have to wake up early every morning to bum around in the office.

“Hey what’re you doing?” “Oh I’m just working hard—ly” Hehehehehe. JUST KIDDING. The first few weeks were boring and filled with facebook. But since last week it’s been escalating! I even brought work back to do! I promise myself I’ll never do that again.

Anyway! I went ROCK CLIMBING! My body is sore and aching from doing not very much rock climbing and a lot of resting. Hehe. Thanks J, M & R! You guys are now officially J, M & R cos ever since I watched Eagle Eye I’m all about internet privacy. Err. Yeah. Right!?

Glenn Packiam
Last week, Glenn Packiam came by our church for Worship Seminar. Instead of being treated to aolian scales, jazz chords or the blues scale, he transferred heaps of gold to me. Well ok, to everyone…but sometimes it’s nice to think you’re special. Ahem.

Aren’t they the cutest family??

I’m really refreshed. As he preached I had a huge hunger gnawing for the WORD. I wanted to know why he knew God like he did, His character, the way He thinks, how He works, and this Glenn guy was just a fountain full of God’s Word!

I carry around everyday a Bible but never read it. Man this has changed. And I can see how it’s affected my week — the skies didn’t turn bluer or the grass greener, but my soul felt nourished. (it WAS! did I mention a 3 day fast & prayer my church had?? learnt SO MUCH!). Facing the day is now so much easier, and exciting when I eat my Soul Food every morning. My poor soul, it’s been so malnourished!

I wondered how it could be that the Bible could be so alive. And I actually have access to all of it!!! I really desire to know it as much as Mr Packy-yam does.

Some excerpts:

Old Testament: temple, priest, sacrifice = New Testament: Jesus = US! We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, a royal priesthood, offer ourselves a pleasing sacrifice, holy & acceptable” – see how he opened up the word & made it all make sense?

“Don’t use a cart. Don’t live on borrowed, second hand faith. Find Him yourself.”
- David used a cart to transport the Ark cos he copied the philistines. USE THE REAL THANG! Hard times will test this. If you have lived on borrowed faith, you’ll say “all this stuff I’ve believed in for so long isn’t true!” and, turn away. But no, say this instead “it’s time I got to know my God, God of the universe & my problems, a whole load better!”

“1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, rest.”
– The Long Ignored Secret: Sabbath

“True Worship: your life consistent with your worship – if not, God “hates your new moon festivals aka fundraisers, church events etc etc” if your life does not reflect your sunday morning best.

Well nothing always stays on a high. After the conference (and week where I practically went to church everyday), I opened my Bible to read….2 Kings. Like, WHAT!? I was so confused. God, I’m pumped to read your scripture and…it was about Elisha?? Without going into it too much, from confusion I went to understanding and.. rhema. Now i understand why we sing “I love you Holy Spirit”!

Specifically Ambiguous Tips
Work tip #1: If there’s a template you have & you gotta keep modifying it, list the steps in the folder’s name. It’ll save you paper and heart ache.

Work tip #2: Create a “Temporary” folder where you store items you’ll trash after 3 months – nuff time to know if they’re necessary, needed or nawt! It’ll also keep your computer neat. Arrange your stuff by date too!

Work tip #3: Have a work notebook. Scribble everything the boss tells you to do. Believe me, you’ll forget if you don’t.

Blog tip #1: Label all your pix by date. For example: “081112-pumpkinsoup-01.jpg”. That’s what I’ve just begun to do. I mean, how long can you blog for and search for pix like “chocolatecake1.jpg” and go on living!?! Learnt this handy tip from Niki of Delicious Days. I just right clicked to see how the pros did it ;-)

Some Chatter on Batter
Next…BAKING. I love this like crazy! I wanted to come up with a Christmas cupcake set & a Christmas cookie set. But work is really bogging me down and I’m not even sure if I can commit to baking this december. Arrrgh right!?!?

But should I??

And one last thing, cos a post without pictures is like a man without a beard:

Upcoming cupcake designs for the press co!
