Sartorially Speaking
Sartorially speaking, because I spend an inordinate amount of time looking through amazing cake artists for inspiration – I had forgotten the world of fashion, art and craft. Did I say fashion?

This is so cute. It’s an apron. I just had to add that in, just in case. Now wouldn’t this be the perfect apron for a girl like me? Haha!

From South Korean brand JSIS

Korean lifestyle fashion brand JSIS was founded in 2006 by brothers Kim Taek Jung and Kim Jung, the brand name is made up from from the ‘J’ of Jung and the term ’sisters’ a bit of word play on the fact that they are brothers.
The brother designers have created the JSIS collections for broad appeal in the ever changing womenswear market, predominantly aimed at the young urban women the range of styles ranging embraces everything from corporate chic to funky casual clothing.
I like how their clothes are urban…unlike the other frilly stuff on Yesstyle.com. And I also really like their model. It made them not-any-other-Korean brand. Very fun! Once they changed models my loyalty dropped a little. Hehe. I found this brand 2 years ago, but had no money. Now that I do, and want to order from Yesstyle.com, there are virtually no JSIS products there! Weep. Any South Koreans out there? Any info? edit: found their website finally! jsis.co.kr

From South Korean brand JSIS. I really like this model.
Ephemerally speaking, I had no idea how Chinese New Year has slowly snuck up upon us all. Is it just me or has time really flown by? I haven’t even baked cookies. 4 more days! I remember having more breathing space a few years ago. I better get moving or I’m going to miss my experimental baking spree with guaranteed guinea pigs. Oops, did I say that out loud? I mean really that I want to bake for all my family’s precious guests as a good chinese girl would. Can’t wait for if one of these kind experiments turned bad, like rock hard cakes, and we serve it to folks with wide charming smiles….maybe they’ll take a bite and go “mmm, lovely”……diplomatically, just like ferrero rocher advertisements. “Mmmm, delicious!” before peeling of the gold wrapper (which is really the only reason it’s so deliciously expensive).
Televisionally speaking, I love American Idol & the Nanny. Haven’t watched the box in a while.
