the sweet strains of music
April 7th, 2009
i’ve been watching, listening and hmm, what other things can you do within your five senses? hmm. nothing! haha. so i return to my sentence: just watching and listening to everything but the current. you may say it’s a blast from the past, cos all my movies and music have been produced way before 2000.
its quite fun living in this bubble really. i live in 2009 but come home to the past. ahem. not really ;) i watched slumdog millionaire but i’m trying to stray away from Shopaholic and co just for a few moments more. did you realise how much has changed from the 1990s?
how no other show can be like F.R.I.E.N.D’s? did you know i took a FRIENDS quiz and kept getting ross? yes you read right “kept getting” I KEPT TRYING TO FOIL THE OL’ QUIZZER lol cos I am NOT ross! really wan. i finally twisted the quiz and got Monica. but i’m not monica!

Ross, I just don't wanna be you!
i gave up and got joey on another website. -_- i don’t believe in quizzes! haha.
but i haven’t been watching friends..i’ve been watching disney’s peter pan (wow no idea it was so good. five stars! my fav is still aladdin though), sleepless in seattle (nice! but not my fav), serendipity (so aggravating omgoodness but i loved it), you’ve got mail (LOVED IT), singing in the rain (amazing dancers! so good), the beaches, the sandlot, while you were sleeping, breakfast at tiffany’s, roman holiday, hook…
listening..hmm, to random old artistes. michael jackson included. most are above-movie-related. i’ve got to start compiling music. i haven’t kept a music library since i was 15. that’s 3 years of long lost music! i will start as soon as I get my own computer or sort of storing space & viruses.
whoops! a quick glance at my title has told me that i have strayed from the topic.
i wanted to say that i love the strains of the orchestra and sweet strings. those movies have GOOD soundtracks! i take back my apprehension of the orchestra. classical is sweet to some extent, but the modern orchestra is amazing.

sweet brass sounds
and, horns are my favourite jazz instrument, i can live my life listening to good horns mmmm yeahhhh. must be in one of the movies/malls I was wandering through. eh my bad, are trumpets what I mean? horns, trumpets..what’s the difference?
disney is amazing! nothing beats disney. is it just me or has disney become too emotional lately? BRING ON THE CLASSICS! their animation, humour and music is just perfection!
stars weren’t all good looking or styled up. as per sandra bullock in while you were sleeping. they were actors. and they were good.

You've Got Mail
i think my favourite so far is you’ve got mail. haha. how darling is the name “the shop around the corner?” tom hanks is so not handsome! but what in the world makes me like the movie i don’t know. nicely written, i suppose! man, all my favourite movies are movies i’d rather not admit are my favs. i know i should be saying things like star wars, the shawshank redemption, forrest gump (oo a fav actually) and the silence of the lambs or something (just kidding, i would NEVER watch that show). but i am me and i do like happy romance comedies :)
*big smiles*
